Sugar Land sits 19 miles southwest of downtown Houston, which puts it closer to the cruise terminals than any of our other western pickup zones. Three viable routes run down to the coast and the quickest one skips the city centre entirely. We collect from any address in Sugar Land and drop at the terminal entrance.
Three Routes Down, One Price
Sugar Land is unusual in having three genuinely different ways to reach the port, spanning nearly thirteen miles between the shortest and the longest. What makes it interesting is that the shortest one is also the slowest. Whichever your driver takes, the rate is the same.
The Beltway route is the usual pick: it stays out of the city entirely and lands at I‑45 well south of the loop. Going through downtown adds five miles and, on a weekday morning, considerably more than the seven minutes the figures suggest. The back way through Manvel and Alvin is nearly eight miles shorter but runs on surface highway, so it only makes sense when something has gone wrong on the interstate. Tolls are included in your quote either way.
Sugar Land and Galveston, Already Connected
Our office is at 622 Kempner Street in Galveston. The street is named for the Kempner family, and in 1906 it was Isaac H. Kempner — a Galvestonian — who bought the Ellis Plantation out in Fort Bend County. Two years later the Kempners acquired the neighbouring Cunningham plantation and its sugar mill, and named the combined operation the Imperial Sugar Company.
The town that grew up around that mill was Sugar Land. It stayed a company town for decades, incorporated as a city in 1959, and Imperial Sugar still keeps its headquarters there. So the 65.6 miles between your front door and our office trace a line that was drawn more than a century ago, by people going the same direction.

Where We Collect in Fort Bend
Sugar Land covers about 43 square miles and roughly 111,000 residents, most of them in master-planned communities that were annexed over three decades rather than built as one piece. First Colony alone runs to 9,700 acres and around 50,000 people. Telfair, New Territory, Greatwood, Riverstone, Avalon and Imperial each came later.
That patchwork is why the rate below is a starting figure. A pickup in Imperial, near the old mill and Constellation Field, is a shorter run to the Beltway than one out past New Territory on the western edge. Give us the street address and you get one confirmed number that then holds — it does not rise on cruise weekends or at busy hours.

Dropping Off at the Port
Your driver takes you to the terminal entrance rather than a nearby lot. Royal Caribbean sails from Terminal 10, Carnival and Norwegian from Terminals 25 and 28, Disney and Princess from Terminal 25, MSC from Terminal 16. Assignments shift between seasons, so give us your cruise line when booking and we will confirm the entrance you need.
